All working now, sendmail and everything. Very neat. In fact, it didn't work at all without sendmail.. not sure how I managed to get the SMTP server working but it does so there.

All I can say is WORKSFORME!
I couldn't get slackware through the NTLM authentication on MS ISA server, so shoot me.
